Synthetic Molecular Transporters

Lead Research Organisation: UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

This project will utilise polymer chemistry and solid state peptide synthesis for the design, synthesis and characterisation of nanopore-equipped polymer membranes. It will also include development of synthetic protocols for imidazole based, pH-sensitive copolymers. These efforts will move further towards creating pH-sensitive, membrane-enclosed polymersomes able to 'swim' to a target, using selective permeabilities to control passage of specific cargo.
