Mixing and volatile depletion in the early solar system

Lead Research Organisation: Imperial College London
Department Name: Earth Science and Engineering

Abstract

The PhD project will encompass the determination of mass-dependent and mass-independent isotope compositions of volatile elements (such as tellurium) for various types of meteorites and samples from Earth, Moon and Mars. The key aim of the work is to better elucidate from where, how and when the Earth, and other bodies of the inner Solar System, acquired their inventory of volatile constituents.
