Quantifying the Dynamic Response in Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs): A Platform for Tuning Chemical Space in Porous Materials

Lead Research Organisation: University of Strathclyde
Department Name: Chemical and Process Engineering

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description The research undertaken has shown that the structural behaviour of the solid materials that we study can be altered, depending on the residual solvent within the material wehn it is exposed to a vacuum.
Exploitation Route The results indicate the role of structural moieties in framework responses to external stimuli, which may be useful in sensors.
