Augmented Reality Maintenance System (ARMS)

Lead Participant: AMTECH GROUP LIMITED

Abstract

The feasibility study aims to provide a framework to enable on site operations maintenance using augmented reality linked to a database of asset information. This solution will provide digital information in context to the built environment that enables a safer maintenance service to the operative that reduces risk of human error when maintaining nuclear assets. The project innovates by transferring technology in a format that allows the as-built graphical interface to over-lay real world information, that will provide commands and information about the asset to the user. The project will scope and simulate how this can provide a service and supporting software with current provision in the nuclear sector.
