Abstract
UK company Swanbarton will develop and demonstrate technology that enables householders with electric water heating to profit from new time-of-day electricity tariffs, while also sharing in the proceeds from a new power balancing service for National Grid (and its international equivalents), based on occasionally switching off their water heaters for just a few minutes.
