Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator-based Ultra-Sensitive Biosensor Array Using Low Cost Piezoelectric Polymer as the Active Material

Lead Research Organisation: University of Manchester
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We examined various ways to fabricate the biosensors for effective detection of biomolecules in aqueous solution and from air, and some of the results have been published during and after the end of the project. In addition, we compared the robustness and sensitivity of the newly fabricated sensors with well established approaches.
Exploitation Route We have demonstrated the working principles. Instrumental developers must try to facilitate these into working instruments, involving engineering and instrumentation and test of machine-user interfacing etc.
