Description As a result of the involvement of policymakers and practitioners as discussants and participants in all of the seminars, the series achieved some impact beyond the academic community. The policymakers and practitioners who attended the seminars gained a greater understanding of academic work in relevant areas, while the seminars also increased academics' understanding of particular policy contexts. More generally, the seminar series was successful in facilitating discussion between the three types of stakeholder (policymakers, practitioners and academics) and provided a basis for collaborative projects in this area in the future.
