Unlocking Accessibility

Abstract

Duku have partnered with Urban Foresight and Dundee City Council to conduct a feasibility study into the development of an accessible EV chargepoint that builds on successful work already undertaken between Duku, UF, Motability and disability sector experts.

The project aims to explore the feasibility of a range of innovative functional features, providing user focused design solutions to meet accessible public EV charging infrastructure demand and support the UK Government to meet it's Road to Zero goals.

The project aims to facilitate the ongoing design of an innovative, user centric and accessible EV chargepoint which meets the needs of those with disabilities and the elderly.

Successful completion of the feasibility project will support the growth of Duku's existing in-house EV chargepoint manufacturing capacity, generate direct and indirect employment opportunities, and support UK manufacturing and supply chains. As well as consolidating Urban Foresight's position as one of the UK's leading mobility consultancies.
