Magnetically Induced Thermoset Curing: A novel method for on demand adhesion

Lead Participant: IMPACT LABORATORIES LIMITED

Abstract

Impact have identified and seek to assess and develop a novel 'tunable', fast curing, non-contact magnetocuring additive for use with commercial adhesives in high-value manufacturing.

The project will first focus on getting a deep technical understanding of the nano-particle additive technology through a due diligence process, where technical claims are validated, the IP is assessed and the risks reviewed. This will be followed by commercial agreements between Impact and the University if the technical due diligence has been successful and finally engagement with end-users allowing quick development and route to market post project.
