Abstract
This project delivers the integration of Ceres Power’s residential fuel cell system with AlertMe’s on-line home energy monitoring and control platform to optimise operation and provide a fully connected user and service experience.
The drivers for this from the customers are that they want a single place to interact with their energy – their electricity consumption, their heating and, with the introduction of appliances like Ceres Power’s fuel cell Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system, their generation. This helps them reduce carbon, save money and understand how well their generation devices are performing.
In addition, developers of innovative new products like the fuel cell CHP need in-field data to identify faults and their causes, monitor the performance of the product, and optimise the way that the product operates in the home.
