Theory into design/design into theory: the role of theory in creative practice

This is an interdisciplinary symposium, the aim of which is to explore and define the relation of theory to creative practice. The intention is to encourage wide ranging approaches and to create a diverse climate for discussion and exploration. The event is aimed at a UK national audience and will include practitioners, students, theoreticians and critics from across the creative practices, including architecture, fine art, design, and time-based media. The symposium will be organized as a series of paper presentations, and breakout sessions for intensive discussion of specific themes that arise in the papers.
