Mineral polymer foam extension to larger markets
Lead Participant:
ALSITEK LIMITED
Abstract
Alsitek, a british company that developed the world's first mineral polymer foam, is aiming high.
The aim is to further develop that mineral polymer technology to produce a sprayable foam that can protect steel girders from fire and then replace mortar to make building more environmentally friendly as well as cheaper and quicker.
It is not an easy task ahead but the reward would be British leadership of a worldwide change to a more sustainable way to construct buildings. The technology has the potential to go even further into the automotive world helping to make vehicles quieter and safer.
