An Urban Ecosystem Assessment Tool for Businesses and Local Authorities. This Innovate UK funded project responds to a conclusion from the Natural Capital Summit held at the British Library in November 2014(1), that a tool is needed to support Businesses and Local Authorities in the assessment of Ecosystem Services. The project brings together a consortium of researchers, software developers, data holders, businesses and local authorities to develop a spatial Decision Support Tool, supported by integrated and robust data, for identifying risks and opportunities associated with development of various types in UK cities. The project is initially focused on Edinburgh, Liverpool, Brighton and London and may have application to cities throughout Europe.
