Discovery and characterisation of transiting exoplanets

Lead Research Organisation: University of Warwick
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

This project will include the analysis of data from the STFC-funded Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) facility, with the goal of detecting exoplanets in the Neptune size range around relatively bright stars. The work will include follow up observations with ESO facilities to confirm the planets, and other facilities to study the atmospheres.
