Abstract
The phd will investigate the use of spatialised, 3D sound, for sonification. Direction is a key part of auditory perception but has not been widely studied in sonification as a parameter for design. The phd will study how it can be used and how effective it is. The aim is to create a tool that can add spatial sound features to sonifications using HRTF binaural sound.
