Abstract
Models of dark matter beyond the standard weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) paradigm predict new scalar dark matter particle candidates. The aim of this project is to search for dark matter candidates predicted in hidden sector models in the DEAP-3600 dark matter direct detection experiment. DEAP-3600 is a liquid Argon dark matter detector operating in the SNOLAB underground laboratory, which will accumulate an exposure of 3000 kg-years. This project will use this dataset in DEAP-3600 to search for signals of dark matter in both nuclear recoil and electronic recoil channels, with emphasis on new particle candidates beyond the WIMP paradigm.
