Combining advanced polymer-peptide conjugate synthesis with advanced mass spectrometry characterization - a collaborative study.

Lead Research Organisation: University of Warwick
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

This project involves study of synthesis and characterisation of polymer-peptide self-assembling conjugates using advanced mass spectrometry methods. The methods to be used include ultra high resolution mass spectrometry, advanced tandem mass spectrometry (ExD, IRMPD, CAD), and two dimensional mass spectrometry. In addition to allowing better control of the chemistry of synthesis of these materials, the advanced analytical methods should allow far more comprehensive data than ever previously achieved on polymeric materials.

This project is a collaborative project among Prof. Peter O'Connor, Prof. Sebastien Perrier, and Dr. Anthony Bristow at Astra Zeneca in Macclesfield.
