Development of new nickel-base superalloys for disc applications
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Materials Science & Metallurgy
Abstract
This project aims to use advanced alloy characterisation techniques to obtain insight into the mechanistic origins of strength in a range of new nickel-base superalloys. The effects of alloying additions on alloy properties will be assessed during the project, alongside development and evaluation of thermodynamic modelling schemes.
