Abstract
Using effective theory methods to deal with quantum gravity, we will investigate quantum
gravitational corrections to black holes. The aim of this project will be to understand the nature of
singularities in black holes in the light of quantum gravity. We will aim at answering the following
question: are there singularities in quantum gravity or are they just an artifact of classical general
relativity?
