Physical Properties of Strongly Lensed Quasars

Abstract
It is challenging to study the host galaxies of quasars as they outshine their hosts.
However, using the spectra from gravitationally lensed quasars gives
us an insight into the properties of the host galaxy.
Analysing high signal to noise spectra, from the NTT and ESI, of newly
confirmed gravitationally lensed quasars and their host galaxies will allow us
to gain a better understanding of the host galaxy-super massive black hole
relationship.
