Evaluating and Advancing the Measurement of Autistic Traits (upd 01/24)
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Bath
Department Name: Psychology
Abstract
This project will explore novel ways to quantify autism-related personality traits and their relationships with several socially relevant phenomena. To this end, we will draw on pre-existing longitudinal datasets, and collect new data using online studies, which will be analysed using advanced quantitative methods seldom used in this field of research. The PhD will be supervised by an interdisciplinary group of academics from cognitive, social, and biology psychology, contributing their expertise on autism and related constructs. Together, it has potential to improve understanding of autism and neurodevelopmental conditions more generally.
