Virtual Reality Applications in the Assessment and Cognitive Remediation of Schizophrenia and Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment
Lead Research Organisation:
King's College London
Department Name: Neuroimaging
Abstract
Primary objectives are:
Investigate the validity and sensitivity of a VR assessment in identifying cognitive dysfunction in schizophrenia and MCI patients.
Investigate the efficacy of a VR spatial memory training application to improve cognition in schizophrenia and MCI patients
Secondary Objectives:
To investigate neural correlates in cognitive function as measured by the VR assessment and associations with symptomatology
To investigate changes in neural correlates resulting from VR spatial memory training
