Abstract
This project focuses on performing Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) simulations to model star formation process and investigating the various factors which impact on it. For example, we look at the combined effects of stellar ionizing radiation, winds and supernovae on the physical properties of the molecular clouds in which stars form. This project also aims to investigate the numerical techniques for SPH simulations as well as the Monte Carlo methods for modelling radiation feedback. Overall, the goal is to improve our current understanding of the mechanisms that drive the on-going star formation processes
