UK prototyping facility for Nanoimprint Lithography

Many sub micron devices are manufactured using a simple low cost high resolution process
known asNanoimprint Lithography (NIL). The process is used to manufacture devices ranging
through a number of diverse Technologies including Photonics, Electronics, Microfluidics,
and Optics. Many of the emerging point of care medical devices and a large number of
components for consumer products are manufactured using the NIL process.
This project will investigate the NIL market. We will perform an in depth market survey and
we will look at various key elements of the Technology. We will investigate the equipment
and processes required to fabricate Nano devices using NIL.
The project will allow Qudos to establish the viability of establishing a UK based facility for
prototyping Nanoimprint devices.
