Digital Geo-fencing advertising Device (DGaD)

Abstract

Sustainable Venture Development Partners (“SVDP”) works with investors, entrepreneurial
managers, and corporates to originate, build and grow sustainable companies. Growth of these
companies is de-risked through access to our extensive network, deep sector expertise and
venture development experience.
SVDP has developed a prototype design for a digital geo-fencing advertisement device
(“DGaD”) that delivers highly contextual adverts to be displayed on a ‘digital signage’ fixed
to the transport system on a pay-per-impression basis.
DGaD improves on existing advertising ROI by enabling brands to only pay when their
adverts are in view of target audiences. The device achieves this through integrating the
digital screen’s location data with key metrics from SVDP’s proprietary ‘demographic
database’, and then using a recommendation engine against ‘brand criteria’.
Digital signage has evolved from a nascent technology into an industry experiencing a 40%
compound annual growth rate (CAGR). This creates an opportunity for a UK Company that
can facilitate the global impact of digital signage and effectiveness of supporting business
models.
DGaD takes advantage of reductions in the cost of telematics and digital screens, and also
SVDP’s proprietary ‘demographic database’.
The system consists of four components: a telematics and GPS integrated content control
device, a demographic database, a recommendation engine, and a pay-per-impression
invoicing system.
Successful deployment of the DGaD solution requires co-ordination among many different
stakeholders including: hardware OEMs, telematics service providers, wireless carriers,
software developers and advertising agencies. Before this can be achieved the addressable
market requires: further segmentation and appraisal; customer proposition validation; supply
chain readiness verification; and development and establishment of a systems roadmap.
