Grant to Develop Robust Prototype of Aeristech's High Speed Motor, Generator and control technology for use in automotive applications

Aeristech is developing a compact power-dense motor/generator and control technology for enhanced engine downsizing and hybrid/electric vehicle applications. Our permanent
magnetic motor/generators are highly efficient and are capable of accelerating far more
rapidly than the less powerful motor technology that is available today. These and other characteristics enable Aeristech's technology to be deployed in new low carbon vehicle applications that are not possible with existing technology.
Aeristech has several global vehicle manufacturers interested in using our technology in three separate applications including full electric turbocharging and gas turbine range extenders. These applications will greatly assist in reducing vehicular carbon footprints providing environmental benefits through engine downsizing and assisting vehicle manufacturers to meet their carbon emissions legislation obligations. New jobs will be created in the UK as the technology is commercialised.
This grant will assist Aeristech to progress the development of its technology through to highly robust machines and control units with an enhanced Automotive Technology Readiness Level. This will enable Aeristech to demonstrate that the technology performs to the readiness level required by the main vehicle manufacturers and thus would enable Aeristech to more readily enter into commercialisation arrangements with key Tier 1s who supply these vehicle manufacturers.
