Crop intellect

Advances in several industry sectors including agriculture have come from observations of nature. In this project a plant has been selected for its ability to thrive in nutrient deficient environment. This achievement can be atributed to the plant's evolutionary ability to regulate its signaling in order to adjust to varying growth conditions. Literature searches confirmed that the specific plant has not been looked at in terms of its potential utilisation in agricutlure. Trials of the crude extract have demonstated significant increases in yield of agricultural crops. The collaboration with the research partner is vital for Crop Intellect to commercialise the plant enhancement properties of the plant extract. The work will allow to perform the appropriate tasks towards the development of a product and initiate a long term collaboration. The expertise and state of the art facilities of Lincoln University are vital for the success of the project.
