DNenviro wish to trial a range of water treatment technologies in order to develop mobile/farm based Hydroponics Fodder units that would allow farmers to supplement existing feed stock, particularly in periods of poor weather when animals have to be kept indoors for extended periods of time, and when outdoorgrazing and silage is of poor nutritional value. High yielding green fodder may also enable farmers to increase stock levels, knowing that they are able to provide safe and nutrient rich fodder to their animals year round, thus improving efficiencies and viability of smaller farms.DNenviro see significant export potential for this technology, particularly to countries with challenging climates and where outdoor grazing is not possible.
