The deveopment of fast, accurate and useful applications using SAR data represents a growth opportunity for Magellium and the NovaSAR satellite being produced by SSTL and Astrium will provide low cost Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data for a wide range of potential applications. The University of Surrey has knowledge of low cost earth observation systems and in particular S Band SAR simulation, modelling and processing. This will help Magellium to identify the most promising market areas and define the R&D activity it needs to do to deliver viable and affordable applications.
