Large-scale Solar Carports for Integrated Transport & Energy Systems

The First of a Kind Demonstrator supports large scale deployment of field tested products. The project will demonstrate the use of solar photovoltaic arrays in combination with electric vehicle charge point to provide low carbon power to charge vehicles. The project will use of novel connection and peer-to-peer trading to allow local businesses to make use of excess generation. In addition a number of products will be integrated into the structures for the first time. An E-bike and E-Bus charging station, intelligent LED powered under canopy lighting, an intelligent parking solutions to monitor the use of EV charge point bays.
