Abstract
Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.
Technical Summary
The overall objective is the comparative analysis of distinct pathogenesis-related developmental processes in M. grisea. This will be achieved by: 1) Use of mutants and cytological approaches to carry out a comparative analysis of the genetic requirements for the early stages of pathogenesis-related development on leaves and roots. 2) Large scale mutagenesis screen for mutants defective in plant infection. 3) Functional analysis of a predicted RNA-binding protein that is required for plant infection.
