Lead Research Organisation: Imperial College London
Department Name: Life Sciences

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description Our data indicates that UapA, an integral membrane protein transporter adopts distinct conformational states as part of its function. We are currently working on the manuscript describing these findings.
Exploitation Route Greater insight into the mechanism of action of transporters is likely to result in greater understanding of how these can be effectively used as drug targets.
