Farm research platform and ECN monitoring site

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

To provide the scientific basis for developments in land management system experimentation, sensing and modelling in the proposed North Wyke Farm Research Platform and to contribute to the UK Environmental Change Network. The high-level objective is to develop appropriate, quality-assured methods to examine interactions between ecosystem and production functions in grassland landscapes. The particular objectives of the directly funded elements are to: identify appropriate indicators of production and ecosystem function; select appropriate protocols for monitoring these indicators for intensive and extensive research; deliver environmental monitoring data to the Environmental Change Network.
