Toll-like receptors and dendritic cell genetic heterogeneity

Lead Research Organisation: THE PIRBRIGHT INSTITUTE
Department Name: UNLISTED

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Technical Summary

The objectives of the project are: (i) to determine the spectrum of bovine TLRs that are functional in cattle. Full length TLR 1-20 cDNA clones for cattle are already available; (ii) To identify allelic/polymorphic variants of cattle TLRs; (iii) To determine whether cattle dendritic cells and their subsets exhibit heterogeneity with respect to differential TLR expression and function.
