Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

The post holder will collect historical data, particularly over the period 1989-2008, globally and for a few exemplar countries. The statistics collected will relate to population, land areas, food production and consumption, agricultural inputs and prices, income and economics and health. Much of the data will be available in publically accessible databases but the rest will require considerable library and internet research, together with identifying and interacting with experts around the world who can help fill gaps.
