Technical Summary

To create and populate a permanent public database for curation and analysis of gene expression data for the model legume Lotus japonicus and to expand the existing Medicago truncatula gene expression database. To train students and post-docs in bioinformatic and advanced tissue isolation techniques to study gene expression. To establish a data-sharing pipeline between the John Innes Centre and the Noble Foundation To create and utilise a large population of mutant inbred lines. To provide increased access to an important mutant resource for UK researchers. To exchange information and develop collaborations on projects of mutual interest concerning the functional genetic analysis of nodulation and mycorrhization in Medicago truncatula.
