Gene expression differences underlying bovine resistance to a protozoan parasite

Lead Research Organisation: Roslin Institute
Department Name: UNLISTED

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Technical Summary

This project will build on earlier studies investigating the host-pathogen interactions between bovine macrophages and the prtozoan parasite Theileria annulata. In particular, the project will concentrate on the mechanisms involved in disease resistance and susceptibilty in different breeds of cattle.
