A Visiting Fellowship in Advanced Medical Image Processing and Analysis

Abstract

This proposal requests funds to support a 3 month visiting fellowship to give CMIAG (Collaborative Medical Image Analysis and the Grid) research group at the University of Nottingham the opportunity to work with Professor Jayaram K. Udupa, Chief of the Medical Imaging Section of the Department of Radiology, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This project will allow us to extend our expertise to an exciting new area.
 
Description The project has led to the success of a large grant proposal from the European Commission on medical imaging in 2009.
Exploitation Route The software developed by this fellowship and by the medical imaging project resulted from this fellowship is being used by clinicians in Nottingham.
