Abstract

The International Conference on Information and Communications Security is an established forum for exchanging new research ideas and development results in the areas of informationsecurity and applied cryptography. The first ICICS event took place in Beijing, China, in November 1997. Since then the conference series has been in major international locations, and become an annual event starting from 2001. For example, ICICS'06 was held in Raleigh, NC, USA; ICICS'07 in Zhengzhou, China; and ICICS'08 will be held in Birmingham, UK.The organisers and programme co-chairs of ICICS 2008 are Dr. Liqun Chen (HP Labs, Bristol, UK), Dr. Mark Ryan and Dr. Guilin Wang (School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, UK). The conference will be held in Birmingham, 20-22 October 2008.
