Mathematical analysis of nanostructured electrochemical systems for lithium batteries and solar cells

Lead Research Organisation: University of Oxford
Department Name: Mathematical Institute

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description The behaviour of pervoskite solar cells has been explored using mathematical models. These models have helped to guide the development and improvement of these devices.

The behaviour of Li-ion batteries has been explored using mathematical modelling. These simplified models give insight into the mechanisms dominating the observed behaviour.
Exploitation Route The solar cell group at Oxford, headed by Henry Snaith, has used the ideas developed in this project to help guide some of their experimental programme on perovskite solar cells.
