Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description The is a second component of the grant with the same title in my portfolio, and is now held in Bath because Professor Robert Deeth, formerly of the University of Warwick, has moved to Bath. He has been undertaking computational studies on spin crossover complexes, and we are using his input to direct and underpin our synthetic studies. We have established control over the temperature related switching properties of new classes of spin crossover materials.
Exploitation Route Other may use the knowledge that we have gained in the control of the spin crossover temperature and the width of the hysterisis loop to design magnetically switching materials.
