Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We deployed the OPS software in an in-house lattice Boltzmann code and demonstrated good performance on a range of modern computer platforms. This work is now being taken forward into the DLMESO software for wider community use.
Exploitation Route The proof-of-concept developments with the software provided both portability and performance across a range of computer architectures and provided the background to a follow-on proposal to EPSRC.
Sectors Aerospace

Defence and Marine

Description The work on OPS to aid portable parallel computing of a lattice Boltzmann code led to a successful bid for further fundin as part of the UKCOMES activity.
