Description The previous demonstration of a maser based on NV- centers in diamond has been reproduced with a different diamond using a new microwave resonator with an iris rather than an antenna for coupling out the microwaves. Furthermore, we have shown that the output of the maser may be controlled by the Quality factor of the resonator.
Exploitation Route This work lays the groundwork for achieving masing with diamond & silicon carbide.
