Lead Research Organisation: University of Nottingham
Department Name: Sch of Physics & Astronomy

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We have demonstrated a 650 GHz saser (sound laser) device based on the working principles of a THz quantum cascade laser in an acoustic cavity. We have observed an increased of the directionality of the emitted sound undes sasing conditions.
Exploitation Route By conducting further research to study the acoustic emission spectrum.
