| Description | The characteristic length and time scales of the large vortical structures in the far-feld wake are close to the cluster size of a group of tall buildings, as if it is a single tall building; this is the so called 'cluster efect'. |
| Exploitation Route | 1) The impact of the aspect ratio (height-width) on the aerodynamics, 2) A deep understanding of real tall building clusters, e.g. at London, Berlin. |

| Description | UK Wind Engineering Society Conference 2024 (WES2024) (http://personal.soton.ac.uk/zxie/WES2024/) was hosted at the University of Southampton from 4th to 6th September 2024. More than 80 delegates from industry and academia worldwide attended the WES2024 to explore the latest developments, projects, and techniques in wind engineering. To reflect the global resonance of wind engineering, three mini-symposiums were held in WES2024 to discuss timely topics, i.e. across-scale problems, tall building clusters, and urban design regulations. 62 conference papers are published online with every paper assigned a unique DOI address (10.5258/wes/p0001, 10.5258/wes/p0002, 10.5258/wes/p0003 ... to 10.5258/wes/p0062). |
