New direction in high temperature dielectrics: unlocking performance of doped tungsten bronze oxides through mechanistic understanding

Lead Research Organisation: University of Manchester
Department Name: Materials

Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description Ceramic materials having temperature-stable dielectric properties and suitability for use in electrical capacitors have been developed in the form of bulk ceramic and thin film materials. Suitable chemical compositions have been identified with consideration of cost, lack of toxic ingredients and compatibility with modern manufacturing processes.
Exploitation Route The chemical compositions and processing methods developed during the project may be explored by other researchers and further modified for the manufacture of capacitors and dielectric energy storage devices.
