Abstract
University College London is world-leading in Cyber Security research covering cryptology, privacy enhancing technologies, human, economic and organisational aspects of security, network security, secure software, malware detection and propagation, and security of financial transactions.
The Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research will bring together UCL's Cyber Security research addressing the big security challenges facing the UK. The ACE-CSR will expand our existing network of partnerships with government and industry to ensure we tackle the most important problems and that our solutions work in the real world. The ACE-CSR will also reach out and disseminate our research widely.

Planned Impact
Researchers at UCL have a strong track record in working with industry and government in Cyber Security. In the ACE-CSR we will continue our existing partnerships and develop new partnerships through meetings with users and experts from both business and the public sector. These partnerships will inform our research and provide a pathway for adoption of our research findings.
Through the interaction with industry and government provided by the ACE-CSR we will be better positioned to educate the skilled PhD and MSc students that will be needed in the future to increase the level of security across the UK both in the private and the public sectors.
The ACE-CSR will communicate research findings at UCL widely. We reach out to the public in the form of blog posts, commenting on recent cyber security topics in the media, and through open events and seminars.
