(1) how extremist messages online become 'translated' (i.e. by right-wing terrorism monitoring groups) and then (2) mediated and 'remediated' in mainstream news by security journalists and (3) what 'work' these remediations do: in potentially radicalising mainstream news audiences and shaping policy pronouncements, and (4) the kinds of methods (our 'new media ecology' approach) required to adequately interrogate/map/implicate all of the above?
