Description This Postdoctoral Fellowship enabled me to:
- Receive high quality training in text-mining methods.
- Disseminate and publish research outputs.
- Develop contacts and networking activities with scholars specialized in the field of computer-based methods through the organisation of seminars and conferences (i.e; Text-Mining and the particular contribution of Alceste, LSE, London; 28-29 June 2010).
- Initiate new projects with senior members of staff at the MI (i.e; 'Key Papers in Text Analysis with Martin Bauer and Ahmet Suerdem), Sage. Benchmarks in Social Science Methods.
- Develop my teaching experience.
- Find a job in the academic sector.
Exploitation Route Findings for this award have been taken forward by data mining/text analysis specialists, practitioners and software developers.

Results and Impact Text-Mining Conferences organized thanks to this award were an opportunity for Methodologists, Political Scientists and Data Miners to come together to discuss applications and experiences in using Text-Mining Methods for Public Policy analysis.

The conferences examined the application of digital technologies to support social and policy research within various methodological strands:
(1) Quantitative text analysis
(2) Exploratory Content analysis
(3) Qualitative analysis of Content.
Presentations focused on innovation in methodology and applications of Text-Mining techniques to analyse and inform public policy decisions.
