Description The benefits lie in having available for use and for further development an in depth analysis of where intensity of innovation is high geographically and sectoral, which has revealed that pockets of high innovativeness are to be found across the range of industrial sectors and geographical locations. This enables a more balanced view of how and where the UK's first division innovators are to be found.
Exploitation Route The fellowship has opened up possibilities for more extensive and user focussed applications of the innovation survey data and BIS is supporting the academic host (University of Exeter) in a bid for follow on funding for further development and dissemination of the results of this placement.
